Handling stress before big exams

Exam stress is common, but too much anxiety can affect concentration and performance. With healthy habits and a balanced exam preparation routine, you can stay calm and confident.

1. Take Care of Your Health

Get 7–8 hours of sleep, eat nutritious meals, and include regular physical activity. A healthy body supports a focused mind.

2. Practice Mindfulness

Take a few minutes for deep breathing, meditation, or quiet breaks. These simple techniques can help reduce exam anxiety and improve focus.

3. Plan Your Study Schedule

Break your syllabus into small, manageable topics. A clear study plan makes exam preparation less overwhelming and helps you stay organized.

4. Talk to Someone

Share your concerns with a friend, family member, teacher, or mentor. Talking about stress can make it easier to manage.

5. Stay Positive

Replace negative thoughts with positive self-talk. Focus on your preparation, progress, and abilities instead of worrying about the result.

6. Reduce Distractions

Keep your study space clean and limit social media and unnecessary phone use. A peaceful environment can improve concentration.

Conclusion

Managing exam stress is an important part of successful preparation. Sleep well, follow a study plan, take regular breaks, and stay positive to approach your exams with confidence.
